Beida Jade Bird International Education Successfully Holds Lecture Series on Studying Abroad in the USA

May 23, 2011 13:46:03

The university entrance examination will be held in less than two months. Statistics for the first quarter indicate there is a growing surge in the number of high school seniors who intend to apply for study at overseas universities. The Sino-American Double-line Program is has been well-received by the vast majority of candidates and their parents. The program has several advantages including: if seniors have clear-cut intentions of studying aboard, they do not need to be bothered to handle all the issues themselves; the application for admission to foreign universities are relatively standardized, and parents can complete all application documents with the help of study abroad consultants at Beida Jade Bird International Education while the students can concentrate on their studies; this enables the students to compete for a letter of pre-admission from American universities, and without any negative influence, they can put their hearts into preparing for the Chinese University Entrance Examination. As for students who have strengths in certain subjects or whose grades fluctuate around the scores to enter second- or third-tier universities, junior colleges or even private junior colleges, it is of a particular importance for them to make adjustments to their time and arrangements for their “applications to study abroad” and “preparations for Chinese university entrance examination”.

On May 2, Beida Jade Bird International Education successfully held a lecture series on studying abroad in American universities in the auditorium on the first floor of Beida Jade Bird Building, with a theme on 'Achieving a Balance between Taking the University Entrance Examination and Studying Abroad”. Over 400 parents attended the lecture.

The lecture formally started at 9 o’clock. First, Mr. Han, an expert in filling in the intention for the expected universities, demonstrated to the audience how to select majors and schools and fill in intentions. Then, Mr. Guo, an expert on studying abroad in the United States at Beida Jade Bird International Education, explained how to achieve a perfect balance between the university entrance examination and studying abroad in the United States. In the more than one-hour lecture, Mr. Guo, by using simple terms, elaborated on the differences in educational concepts and models between China and the United States, the merits of the Sino-America Double-line Program offered by Beida Jade Bird International Education, and the ways that many parents of high school seniors who are faced with university entrance examination can guide their children to choose a future path, and other relevant topics. In straightforward, humorous language, he cited vivid and specific examples, which were widely applauded by the parents in attendance. After the lecture, Mr. Guo answered the questions raised by parents, clearing up their doubts about making a choice between “taking part in the University Entrance Examination and studying abroad”.

The lecture, which has been specially designed for the parents of high school seniors, is a sincere present given by Beida Jade Bird International Education to both seniors and their parents during the May 1st Holiday. Its aim was to help parents expand their thoughts in educating their children and to provide seniors with another path to choose for their future. In the lecture, detailed materials were provided and a lucky draw was conducted, which was followed by the distribution of gifts. In addition, several senior consultations of the study abroad were arranged to provide one-to-one consultations to parents. The parents who attended the lecture said that through the lecture, they gained several bits of insightful information and would have positive communication with their children and together plot out the road for their future.

Zhang Jiayin, CEO of Beida Jade Bird International Education, said that such lectures would continue in the future, and they would continue to provide valuable information for both students and their parents, thus helping to form a solid foundation to make important life planning and route selection decisions.
