Beida Jade Bird International Education Brings First Study Visit Emissaries to Shijiazhuang Partner Schools

Jointly established respectively with Shijiazhuang No. 10 School and Shijiazhuang No. 36 School in succession,the two “International Education Cooperation Office” of Beida Jade Bird International Education  have come into formal operation recently.
 
From June 8 to 12, after the first lecture presentation, Beida Jade Bird International Education introduced the first inter-school, international study visit emissaries to these two schools for “international exchange” activities.The "Inter-school Study Visit Emissaries" project's aim is to create an atmosphere supportive of international education for the schools through communication and exchange between foreign and Chinese teachers and students. This project will promote the process of internationalization in the schools in terms of educational concept, teaching methods and personnel training.
 
Highlights:
David (郑晨) is a bright and handsome first year student of Chinese nationality, and he was born in U.S.A.This June, he will take the chance of the first summer holiday of his University in U.S. to visit and study in China to finish the summer assignment from his American professor, i.e. to experience and learn about life of Chinese peers, and to learn about Chinese society and the differences between Chinese and American culture.David chose the Beida Jade Bird International Education's "International Education Cooperation Office" to handle the details of his visit.The first stop for David’s visit is a "China Campus Tour"; he will spend about one week in Shijiazhuang No.10 School and Shijiazhuang No.36 School, attending classes, getting involved and studying with Chinese students.

During this period, David not only experienced life in school with Chinese peers, but also spoke one-to-one and communicated with groups of Chinese students in English and Chinese, answering many of their questions.These questions included: How do U.S. high school students study and live? How do U.S.A. high school students spend their weekends and holidays? How can we improve our language competency? How can Chinese students apply for U.S. universities? What qualities do U.S. universities focus on?Accordingly, David also learnt much from the Chinese students, helping him complete his summer holiday assignment.

In his spare time, David attended the China's Campus Art Exhibition with interest, talked with his classmates about fine arts and music, and gave an impromptu, beautiful piano performance.David's excellent skills on piano gained warm applause from the students.David told his classmates that the life of a student in the U.S. is very busy; apart from studying, they spend a great amount of time to develop hobbies and to participate in various kinds of social activities, including socializing and community service.And he also answered students’ questions such as "how to balance study and hobbies?"Many students said that David's answers were enlightening and made them realize that apart from studying textbooks, they should also extensively participate in social activities to broaden their knowledge, widen their vision and thinking, and lay a solid foundation for their future.David mentioned that Chinese students are usually longing for knowledge, very kind to others, and also good at studying and communicating.He was very happy to discuss the life and habits of Chinese and American people with his peers, providing a good opportunity for him to learn about the differences between Chinese and American culture.

After the "China Campus Tour", the inter-school, international study visit emissaries will continue their study visits in China as arranged by Beida Jade Bird International Education.The following activities include: “Chinese Martial Arts”, “Buddhism in China”, “Chinese Cuisine Culture” and “Traditional Chinese Arts and Crafts”. This study visit module curriculum is representative of China and provides the emissaries with a way of looking into China's culture, history and customs. Through this study visit, they will understand Chinese people's outlook on life, their worldview, way of life, and furthermore, the differences between Chinese and Western culture better.
