Vice President of Beida Jade Bird International Education Accompanies Leaders of Relevant Ministries and Commissions

    On the morning of June 7, Huang He, vice president of Beida Jade Bird International Education, accompanied Chen Yuecai, deputy director of the Internal Services Bureau of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People's Republic of China, Liu Xiangqun, president of the Circular Economic Commission of the China National Resources Recycling Association, and Zhang Kai, former director of the Shandong Province Environmental Protection Bureau, on a visit to Professor Qu Geping, a well-known environmental scientist, former chairman of the Environment Protection and Resources Conservation Committee of the 8th and 9th National People's Congress, the first Chinese permanent representative to the United Nations Environment Programme, and the first director of the Chinese National Environmental Protection Agency.

    Professor Qu was pleased to receive Vice President Huang He and his party and spoke with them. As one of the pioneers and founders of China's environmental protection undertakings, he paid special attention to the development of the industry, including the application of renewable resources technology, personnel training, advances in industry management and government regulatory systems, and the development of policies and regulations. With respect to the formation of a strategic partnership between the renewable resources industry national trade organization, China National Resources Recycling Association, and a Beijing University-affiliated group enterprise engaged in the education industry for many years, Beida Jade Bird International Education, he expressed support for Beida Jade Bird International Education’s use of vocational education to introduce a vocational training system for the renewable resources industry.

    Leaders of relevant ministries and commissions expressed gratitude for the distinguished Professor Qu’s attention to the cause of renewable resources, and his support for the establishment of a vocational training system for the renewable resources industry. They vowed they would live up to Professor Qu’s hopes, heighten the senses of urgency and mission, and devote themselves to development and innovation in the renewable resources industry.

    After the discussion, the distinguished expert gifted his visitors with a copy of his monograph —as a token of encouragement.
